A two-person team for dual expertise

For certain assignments, two associate directors work together to combine familiarity with the client with extensive knowledge of the role and/or industry. All of our specialists have held leadership positions and as a result enjoy in-depth understanding of organisational dynamics.

A dedicated talent assessment team

Our associate directors work closely with our in-house talent assessment team, who meet with all of the interim executives in our community. Their mission is to: 

  • Recruit and assess all candidates in our interim executive pool 
  • Assist our associate directors by suggesting the candidates best suited to various executive interim assignments 
  • Drive and nurture our community of interim managers

Our community includes over 3,500 qualified executives. In addition to technical expertise, all of them have also proven their leadership qualities while serving as top managers. They have all of the skills required to successfully manage sensitive and complex situations, make strategic decisions, and guide your company through times of change. 

We view each interim executive as a partner, just like our clients. Trust and transparency underpin our close, long-term relationships with them: we begin supporting them before they begin their first assignment with us and continue to do so outside of their various assignments.

For example, our talent assessment team has developed an exclusive training course for executives about to begin their first assignment. The team also regularly hosts events and launches initiatives to help our community of candidates hone and further develop their skills. For example, our interim executives benefit from our patented Athlete Thinking® tool, which helps them to boost their mental abilities for interim assignments.

 

Proven methodology underpins successful assignments

Our associate directors, who all have extensive experience with urgent and complex situations, will listen attentively to ensure they fully understand your needs. From the very first meeting, we work with clients to outline and approve the assignment’s framework and set key issues, goals, and assignment duration. Crucial – and often delicate – questions also come up from the beginning to ensure the assignment gets off to a smooth start and lay the foundations for success. 

Grant Alexander remains available throughout the assignment, providing agile and meticulous monitoring, including a discovery report, roadmap, follow-up meetings during which goals can be revised if need be, and an end-of-assignment report. Our associate directors regularly intervene throughout the assignment, working closely with you and the interim executive to provide a sounding board and advice as well as to promote seamlessness and help clear any obstacles that arise.
