The Grant Alexander Group appoints Laurent Carcassonne as Head of its Healthcare Practice

Paris, December 2, 2021 – Partnering in the performance of organizations and their leaders, the HR consulting and services group Grant Alexander announces the appointment of Laurent Carcassonne as Head of its Healthcare Practice. Together with his team, this HR and talent development expert will support companies in the sector in executive recruitment, leadership development, and transformation projects.

Graduated with a Master’s in Business and Labor Law, a Master’s in HR from Paris II Assas (CIFFOP), and certified as a coach at HEC, Laurent Carcassonne began his career in human resources at a major insurance company before joining a direct approach recruitment firm as a consultant.

He then spent around twenty years in various HR roles, notably as Director of Talent Management and Human Resources Director in France, the United States, and Europe, within leading global pharmaceutical groups, including GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca, and later in medical devices and diagnostics at Johnson & Johnson.

In 2009, he joined Thales, a leader in equipment for the aerospace, defense, security, and transportation industries. He successively held the positions of Director of Professional Development and HR, VP of Group Training and Corporate University, and finally HR VP of a business with 16,000 employees worldwide.

Passionate about human resources development, Laurent Carcassonne is now appointed Managing Director and will lead the Life Sciences sector practice, which is part of Grant Alexander’s global offering and will operate across its various services: Executive Search, Executive Interim, Leadership Development, and HR and Organisation Transformation.

Within this practice, the team will combine its different areas of expertise to strengthen the group’s presence in France and internationally within SBF120 and CAC40 companies in the sector, particularly in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and diagnostics, OTC, and hospital groups. Laurent will also support the High Technology practice.
