Several measures could make it possible to facilitate the retention or recruitment of seniors
The lack of support for these senior employees could be filled by different measures which find a favorable echo among recruiters: training sessions to update their knowledge (80%) or so that they acquire other professional skills (77%) and support on health and well-being aspects (80%).
Other changes aimed at facilitating the transition of senior employees towards retirement are also well evaluated. 79% of recruiters consider effective the implementation of part-time so that older employees gradually go towards retirement, and 77% see positively the implementation of HR tools to help them at the time of their retirement.

METHODOLOGICAL NOTE
The study “The recruitment and the retention in employment of senior employees” carried out for Grant Alexander, explores and analyzes the stakes linked to the recruitment and the retention of senior employees (55 years and over) within companies. This study was carried out among 589 “recruiter” managers (employees who supervise at least one person and participate in the recruitment process in their company), including an oversample of 60 HR directors. All respondents work in companies of the private sector with 50 employees and more. This sample of recruiters comes from a sample of 1,389 employees representative of the population of employees of private companies of 50 employees and more. The sample was constituted according to the quota method, with regard to age, socio-professional category, category of agglomeration, sector of activity, company size. The interviews of the leaders were conducted by telephone on CATI system (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview), from September 19 to 24, 2023. Any total or partial publication must imperatively use the complete mention as follows: “OpinionWay survey for Grant Alexander” and no reuse of the survey may be dissociated from this title. OpinionWay recalls moreover that the results of this survey must be read taking into account the margins of uncertainty: 1.9 to 4.4 points for a sample of 500 respondents.
