Digitalization, outsourcing, new organizational models: in the face of these changes, how can “senior” executives approach the second part of their careers?
Despite their 20 years of experience, senior executives are the ones receiving the fewest job offers (5%). Given current technological and organizational transformations, full employment no longer seems guaranteed for them. In all professions, they face significant digital transformation, which they can navigate by remaining agile.
“New management, recruitment, and collaboration methods: the impact is already considerable, and senior executives must adapt,” observes Marie Paillard, Associate Director – Executive Interim at Grant Alexander.
Training, professional coaching, or skills development… there are many ways to bounce back.
Some also wish to redirect their careers or contribute differently to the company through interim management, which, in the post-COVID context, is expected to rebound strongly. “Companies are currently trying to re-mobilize their employees, but they are also preparing for major upcoming transformations. Remote work during lockdown has changed the game,” she warns.
