We ourselves have recently launched an AI-enhanced networking service. Some are already predicting the demise of recruitment consultancies. I do not believe that will happen. AI will not bring executive search to an end; it will transform it. Yes, that may sound like a familiar refrain, but it is true. And the more powerful these tools become, the clearer one thing becomes: they reveal where our real value lies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For a long time, a search firm\u2019s strength lay in its ability to uncover rare profiles that were difficult to reach. That is still true, but the advantage is diminishing. Today, AI can identify candidates with a speed and breadth that no manual search will ever match. It can cross-reference skills and career histories, matching an organisation\u2019s needs with the professionals most likely to meet them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Automation is also moving into the subsequent stages of the process: personalised outreach messages, pre-screening and structured initial interviews. When dealing with high volumes, the efficiency gains are real, and there is no point pretending otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But when everyone has access to the same talent pools at the same time, simply knowing how to identify a suitable profile is no longer enough to stand out. Firms whose value proposition is built primarily around sourcing will see that value melt away in the heat of the data centres.
