One third (32%) have already immediately excluded applications from senior profiles, responding to a request from management. Nearly one recruiter in two (45%) acknowledges that management has already instructed them to favor younger profiles. Conversely, recruiters who have specifically searched for a senior profile are only a minority (42%).<br>HR directors have more frequently faced situations of excluding senior employees: 74% have already been instructed by their management to favor younger profiles, and 68% have already immediately excluded applications from senior profiles. But they have also more often found themselves in the position of searching for senior profiles (70% vs. 42% overall), and 82% have already been positively surprised by a senior candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Experiences experienced during recruitments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"702\" height=\"255\" src=\"https:\/\/www.grantalexander.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Article1_Etudeseniros-600x218.jpg\" alt=\"Etude seniors\"><br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grantalexander.com\/recevoir-la-note-de-synthese-de-letude-le-difficile-maintien-des-seniors-dans-lemploi\/?utm_content=171148508&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=linkedin&amp;hss_channel=lcp-394000\">To read more, download the summary note.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>METHODOLOGICAL NOTE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The study \u201cRecruitment and Retention of Senior Employees\u201d carried out for Grant Alexander explores and analyzes the issues related to recruiting and retaining senior employees (55 years and older) within companies. This study was conducted among 589 manager \u201crecruiters\u201d (employees who supervise at least one person and participate in the recruitment process in their company), including an over-sample of 60 HR directors. All respondents work in private sector companies with 50 or more employees. This sample of recruiters comes from a sample of 1,389 employees representative of the population of employees in private companies with 50 or more employees. The sample was constructed using the quota method, taking into account age, socio-professional category, type of urban area, sector of activity, and company size. Interviews with managers were conducted by telephone using the CATI system (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview) from September 19 to 24, 2023.<br>Any total or partial publication must imperatively use the full mention: \u201cOpinionWay survey for Grant Alexander,\u201d and no reproduction of the survey may be separated from this title.
