Energy outlooks also contribute to general concern and are expected to have a direct impact on production processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than eight out of ten leaders acknowledge being anxious about energy price developments in 2023 \u2013 with nearly half admitting being particularly worried (82%, including 41% strongly agree). In addition to energy issues, pure economic concerns are present: economic recession is also among the major concerns for six out of ten leaders (61%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders are well aware that the two crises at the end of 2022, energy and economic, will impact their companies and carry over into the 2023 fiscal year. This study was carried out with a sample of 403 company leaders from Codir\/Comex positions (Chairman\/CEO\/Manager, HR Director\u2026). All respondents work in private-sector companies with 50 employees or more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sample was constructed using the quota method, based on company size, sector of activity, and region. Leader interviews were conducted by telephone using the CATI system (Computer Assisted Telephone Interview) from November 4 to 28, 2022.
